Our long awaited book on the history of the Killowen area has finally gone to the printers and will be launched in late November.

Grace McGrath from the Public Records Office of Northern Ireland will be hosting a meeting at the GAA clubrooms in Rostrevor on Monday 23rd October 2006 at 7.30pm. Admission is £3 and light refreshments will be served.

2006 marks 3 anniversaries of note:

1. Killowen Reading Room 1906 - 100th anniversary
2. Connemara and Retriever 1916 - 90th anniversary
3. Killowen Football Team 1926 - 80th anniversary
